Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toniz Collins, also known as Antonietta Gonzales-Collins within the US and Mexico, is an American Mexican sportscaster. She is currently an ESPN sportscaster. ESPN who is also an anchor of SportsCenter news and hosting SportsNation. She was hired by ESPN in the year 2016. She is a daughter of Maria Antonieta Collins, a TV reporter. Antonietta was bilingual since her age of nine. This ability that allowed her to get her first role as an Univision producer assistant Miami. She worked with the producers of television shows that were national, like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Her first job was as a reporter for CBS St. Petersburg. CBS St. Petersburg affiliate in the following year. In 2009, she moved to Texas in the Rio Grande Valley where she began her news reporting for KNVO TV 48 Univision. Reporting on stories on drugs and immigration issues from both sides of the Mexico-Texas Border, she served as a news reporter for KNVO TV 48, the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 from 5 pm, as a reporter for news on English at 9 pm and then a news anchor for 10pm, before returning to KNVO TV 48, the Spanish channel. The station also frequently asked her to serve as anchors for the weather and sports. Deportes 23 in Dallas, Univision's station affiliated with Dallas. There she had more responsibility. She wrote pieces to the NBA, Dallas Cowboys' postseason games, NBA ALDS ALCS World Series or Finals FC Dallas. She produced Univision 23 Accion Deportiva Extra as anchor. Then, she became the sports host for the morning program of Despierta America Deportes. It was the same role in Primer Impacto magazine and Contacto Deportivo on the UniMas Network. Antonietta's parents were originally native to Veracruz Mexico. The girl was born on November 22nd, 1985 in Mexico City. Her older sister is also hers. The family moved in 1992 to Mexico to the US and eventually settled in Miami. They divorced shortly thereafter in 1995. Her mother got married to a naval architect called Fabio Fajardo who died of kidney cancer in 2006. While on a vacation Antonietta spent the time at the home of her sister in Canton Ohio. Her older Collins sibling had recently gotten a new job. Antonietta was an incoming senior in high school however, she was very aware of her goals for the future. She went to Mount Union University to determine if they suited her. The campus was a dream for her. They also offered her the degree she wanted. When she completed the requirements for high school, she was accepted into the University to pursue media studies. Professor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM and was student in her class, developed an ongoing friendship with her. Mark Bergmann was the person who instilled her confidence and whose passion for Journalism deeply touched her. She was determined to exceed his expectations, never letting him down.
